Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, Vidiya has already established herself as a global health superstar!  She has done amazing work in Liberia implementing and evaluating a large community health worker program in remote areas of the country and worked in the country during the .   

She is passionate about social justice and health equity and has done research in contraceptive access and addiction medicine.   As medical student, she has been very active as a leader in her institution and served the community in rural Tennessee as  Rural Track Scholar.  For her achievements, she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Societies.  She is excited about a future career as a med-peds hospitalist, and a strong interest in medical education and promoting health equity in communities.
