Surya comes to us from Rockville, Maryland.    As a medical student, Surya has been a leader in global health, leading the interest group, participating in a global health elective in Uganda.  She has also conducted a public health project examining the perceptions of palliative care in collaboration with the Vermont Department of Health Access.  She has been a leader on campus, serving as the founder of the Vermont Medical Society Interest Group, AAP SOPT Medical Student Delegate, and leader of the Wellness Committee.   She was recognized for her work and inducted into the Gold Humanism Society.  She is interested in hospital or critical care medicine with a focus on global and community health.  In her free time, she enjoys cooking, working out, travelling, and playing sports.  We are excited to have Surya join our Med-Peds family and see how her future as a physician advocate unfolds over the next 4 years.
