Quincy Akaba, D.O., M.S.

Quincy is originally from Old Bridge, New Jersey.  Prior to starting medical school, he worked as an HIV Advocacy Intern and a teacher working with elementary and middle school students in West Philadelphia.  As a medical student, he completed a global health summer internship in Accra, Ghana.   He has been involved with community service work, served as the Pediatric Club’s community outreach chair and tutoring with an after-school program.  He also developed a pediatric asthma management program for parents and guardians to improve asthma control.  In his free time, he enjoys art and drawing, and dancing, including Urban Kizomba and Salsa.  He has an interest in both primary care, medical education, and critical care medicine.  We are excited to welcome Quincy to Miami and being a part of our Med-Peds family.
