John is originally from Woodbridge, Connecticut.  Prior to starting medical school, he worked as a research associate at Yale University and research coordinator at the VA Medical Center in Connecticut  As a medical student, he was an active volunteer of the HAVEN Free Clinic and a regular volunteer for the Stamp Out Stroke program focused on improving community knowledge of strokes.  He was active in medical education, and served as a clinical skill interview instructor in medical school. He was an active researcher, with over 10 peer-reviewed publications, with a strong focus on cardiovascular health.   In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer.  He has an interest in primary care.  We are excited to welcome John to Miami and being a part of our Med-Peds family.
