Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University

Jheison grew up in Medellin, Colombia and moved to the Brentwood, New York when he was 9 years old.  He has been dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities and mentoring underrepresented students considering a career in medicine, including pipeline programs for underrepresented undergraduate students, co-President for the  SNMA at Stony Brook, and work internationally in Peru.  He was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.   As a med-peds physician, he is excited about building lasting relationships with both adults and children in his own community and to help them overcome the barriers that he faced.   In addition, we are excited to see his DJ skills in action while he is here.
